| Round Sheffield Run - Winter 20K
RACE IS FULL CANCELLED | This Facebook post says the event has been cancelled. The 2025 event was full by about Oct 29th 2024. "The event uses a unique innovative concept: 11 Stages of running to be completed individually or as a pair. It's a superb scenic running journey around some of the best trails in Sheffield, linking up the great city's parkland and green spaces. The timed stages make up 20K of the 24.5K route. The unique format breaks the route down into bite-sized stages. Each stage has its own character. Each stage is raced, and competitors receive results for each stage as well as the combined overall result. Between stages competitors have the opportunity to relax a little, regroup with their team and friends and refocus before the next timed stage begins. Competitors are allowed to walk or jog in between timed stages. This creates a special and unique social vibe at the race. As well as plenty to discuss in the Beer tent post race! Participants are set off at regular intervals every few seconds, so there will always be someone to chase." "The creative concept means that a route such as this can be accessed and completed safely by runners of all abilities. Entry as Individuals or Pairs. Pairs must complete all stages of the course together." |

9644 | 2025 Jan 05 Sun 1000
| North Tyneside Trail 12K (aka Run for Bob) 12K
| "Collect race number on the day." Entries opened on this web page at 1000 on Oct 28th. In 2023 entries for the 2024 race opened on Nov 9th. In 2022 entries opened at 1000 on Nov 1st and the race was full by Nov 17th. "Registration is at the Club HQ at Churchill Playing Fields. "Start time:1000." "New start for 2025: the start is a 10 min stroll down to the seafront at the War Memorial at Spanish City." "The run takes in the beautiful beach at Whitley Bay, the clifftops and coastal paths winding their way along to Seaton Sluice, through the trails and mud of Holywell Dene, along the Waggonways and ends with a partial lap of the running track at Churchill Fields. This year everyone's running across the beach, no going the easy route through the carpark! But of course the choice of up the first hill or the last hill in Holywell Dene is still all yours, it doesn't matter which one you go for as either way there's a hill and you gotta get to the top!" "No distance markers." "This year, to keep within our ethos of an environmentally friendly event we will have some fantastic biodegradable medals supplied from earthruns.com. Every medal is made from 100% recycled paper and card, has a biodegradable plant-based tencel ribbon and is filled with wildflower seeds, so keep it as long as you want or plant it in the garden!" |
